Of course, a great country. But my question is from recent "invasive" and military events.
In my opinion, Russia has an obsession in a kind of preservation of an alleged racial purity if not, whether national, historic purity. As Spain or the Vatican, on the other hand. And many other countries.

When the USSR existed, including the Warsaw Pact, was behind an iron curtain. Closed, isolated, not to become contaminated by West. Of course, they sought to spread by infiltration their "values" in rather levels in policy clearance, specially.

Now it seeks the same thing: some maneuvers of NATO, an anti-missile shield, and so on. Russia intends to provoke an entire absurd device for its security based on independent "bits" of other countries who would be in favour of Russia. The destructive obsession of countries by Russia is in line with its internal obsession of "purity": Germany, Korea, an attempt in Vietnam. It likes "staffing" tension points and so, that the peoples would divide and hate.

Quite simply, this planet can not afford a "new" Orthodox Vatican with size and importance of Russia in today´s world.
