• NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN.

In my opinion it´s better the first hour than the second. Like a movie, I think a masterpiece. The completely open beginning, where things have already happened, is masterly. It then goes closer and almost treason, begin to emerge credits of the film. And indeed, the movie has already finished and it is time to leave the armchair. Probably if a person reaches one minute late to see this film, also has the feeling that he is still watching the end of the previous session. I regret not being able to find out what the "tool" that brings the protagonist in the movie, it´s used. (I have at home a drill with all its accessories). But it is a "weapon" very effective and a perfect camouflage: nobody will see anything unusual in a young man carrying a gas cylinder.

".. To be able to choose, I must know what I game ...." said one of the victims before die. There is no more direct allusion to democracy. In some democratic countries at least. A great movie where I found myself enjoying seeing everything that was going until about half.

Meanings? I think this movie is difficult. Bardem (masterful) embodies the "religious being" and for me, his interpretation is one of the keys to know what means his character and the movie. A murderer who kills with tools, gas pressure directly to the head (although it also proves to be an expert in real weapons ) is clearly significant, a being that does not come from somehere, that when he kills almost as if they confess the victim, with a patient attitude, gently instructive (when I was a Catholic I was shrived many times, he, he ..) and the superstition of luck´s coin as a ritual that he thynks prevents from the it´s same brutality. His existence that "casually" addresses to appropriating money that he wants. In the sequence of strangulation, as has already tightened the noose, Bardem (religious being) maintains an almost beatifical expression, patient, distant, absent, without any obvious feeling, except as a mild annoyance for what a young and strong man takes a long time to die. Some insects kill as well.

The other character, the hunter with luck, it is more difficult because it proves to be too human, "normal". Only I dare say it is an "Hispanic" inspiration. And would not say more because I can only to imagine it.

As true critics say, absolutely recommended.
