I interpret it on two different levels. On a frame level, what you see on the screen, film is a great show, entertaining, good script to serve the entertainment and of course, the sound in the cinema is also very important.

At the level of what is called "between the lines" I've seen as a great irony, almost a "cosmogony" of this world in his end, or rather of those who count in this world. The power isn´t able to include almost nobody in their plans of salvation, secret plans, and also identifies himself as the human race that should be saved. In addition, an extreme and final situation where everything takes place in what until now we called the third world or the developing world (In Tibet). What bad luck because the film tells us that now, when it is up to them, the world ends. Money also serves until the last moment, as one "entry" costs one billion euros. (So too the euro appears as the currency of the apocalypse). I thought it was great and hilarious the "private ark" that has financed everything, and it alone does not work. The power is very close to the Genesis book, yet.

Everything in my opinion cleaner, healthier, and as they say in these cases, intelligent. The churches will lost many "buildings" on the end of the world.

I think also remarkable that the film doesn´t bother us with the global warming. It's a great honesty.
