  • LEATHERHEADS.

A film that I liked. I recommend it unconditionally. The best thing, in my opinion, is the screenplay´s dialogues and some truly comic situations. And the whole world on its site: from the army, which sometimes is not very scrupulous, to a politician that "will fix everything" in the emerging world of american football. The movie also shows us a little what is journalism or how they were looking for "solutions" to problems posed by the prohibition law. The staging is also correctly resolved and I do not know why, as regards this era (twenties) tends to be very bright in movies.

Clooney perfect in the dramatic and humble, might say, in the scenes where it should be a strong (and skilful) athlete. Simply, he doesn´t complicate life; even he is called grandfather several times throughout the film. Zellweger gets to perform a good job because it represents a female character, refined and at the same time, very realistic, like those first women that in U.S. broke molds and stereotypes. He is a refined and sophisticated woman; and I say this because in his past creations (Bridget Jones, Could Mountain) where his job required her not to be very refined.

I don´t know if the war´s anecdote about wich turns the movie, is real or a screenwriter´s invention; anyway, it´s a "tasty" anecdote.

And above all dialogues, really very good ... :
Woman: Don´t you learned things at war?
Clooney: yes, but I do not think that you would like to hear it ...
