- CALCULATING COSTS OF "GRACE"
I have closed myself on my anti-atómic desk (30 meters deep) to be able to explore in more depth and without interruptions, this thorny issue: the cost of divine grace. In Spain, of course.
The beatification is the first step toward canonization, in a process that may last a century or more, according to the "apostolic" team each case. That is, the 500 new blesseds Spaniards now begin the final leg toward holiness, a situation that will, once granted the "popal" blessing "in aeternum" with the infinite mercy of God. Amen.
I don´t consider now the beatification and canonization of Monsignor Escriva de Balaguer, the Spanish founder of Opus Dei, whose trial lasted just a few months, for the simple reason that Opus has a great apostolic power. And were Wojtyla´s time.
Briefly, in the next hundred years or more, episcopal commissions will be established in many places in Spain. And it will not stop sending staggering amounts of money (euro or dollar) to Rome in order to expedite the processing of each case (500) And worse, the local community and national levels should adapt to this "reality".
The grace comes from God, but lives what is on the ground. Laus Deo. Amen, Alleluya.
